How to open the lesson(1)

Mathematics in English

This part helps you to speak English in classroom, especially when you teach mathematics in English. For instance, you will teach at RSBI schools.

The beginning of the lesson:
1. Salam
-Good morning(Good afternoon), everyone.
-Hello everyone
-Hello there, James

2. Asking the day
-How are you today?
-How are you getting on?
-How's life?
-How are things with you?
-Are you feeling better today, Bill?

3. Introduction
-My name is Mr/Ms/Mrs... . I'm your new Mathematics teacher.
-I'll be teaching you English this year.
-I've got five lessons with you each week.

4. Time to begin
-before we start our lesson, let's pray. pray begin.
-is everyone ready to start?
-I hope you all are ready for you English lesson?
-I think we can start now.
-Now, we can get down to work.

5. Waiting to start
-I'm waiting for you to be quite.
-We won't start until everone is quite.
-Stop talking and be quite.
-Settle down now, so we can start.

6. Put you things away.
-close your book.
-Put you books away.
-Pack your things away.

7. Register
-Who's absent today?
-who isn't here today?
-what's the matter with you today?
-what's wrong with Jimmy today?
-Why were you absent last monday?

8. Late
-where have you been?
-we started 10 inutes ago. what have you been doing?
-did you miss your bus?
-did you ersleep?
-don't let it happen again
