Purnama Pertama 2015

Andaikan aku adalah manusia serigala
pasti aku akan berubah
menjadi serigala yang seksi dan menggoda.

Berlari ke arahmu dan mencengkeramu,
menjilati setiap jengkal tubuhmu.

Dengan kebringasanku dan
darah panas ditubuh
kan ku nikmati manis madumu.

Oh, sayang ...
Betapa seribu rasa kudapatkan

Namun, aku harus hati-hati
agar tak terlena,
hingga aku menghujam jantungmu,
mati dalam cakarku.

It is Amazing by Jem

I am fallin in love with this song. I heard it when I watched an ad in Global TV, one of broadcasters in Indonesia. I fell in love with the music, the lyric, and the rhythm. I love it. INDEED.

Do it now, you know who you are
It's amazing, all that you can do

Right after I heard that song, I searched in Google. Just type what I heard, and voila. I got what the song it is. :)

Those are some part of the lyric. Here, I copied from http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/jem/itsamazing.html

                                                                       "It's Amazing"

Do it now
You know who you are
You feel it in your heart
And you're burning with ambition

At first, wait,
Won't get it on a plate
You're gonna have to work for it harder and harder

And I know
'cause I've been there before
Knocking on the doors with rejection (rejection)
And you'll see
'cause if it's meant to be
Nothing can compare to deserving your dream

[Chorus:]
It's amazing,
It's amazing all that you can do
It's amazing,
Makes my heart sing
Now it's up to you

Patience, now, frustration's in the air
And people who don't care
Well, it's gonna get you down

And you'll fall (fall)
Yes, you will hit a wall
But get back on your feet
And you'll be stronger and smarter

And I know
'cause I've been there before
Knockin' down the doors,
Won't take "No" for an answer
And you'll see
'cause if it's meant to be
Nothing can compare to deserving your dream

[Chorus]

Oh-oh-oh

[Electric voice:]
Don´t be embarrassed, don´t be afraid
Don´t let your dreams slip away
It's determination and using your gift
Everybody has a gift
Never give up, never let it die
Trust your instincts and most importantly
You´ve got nothing to lose
So just go for it

[Chorus 2x]

Ah-ah-ah

Sandwhiches, A Simple Breakfast

picture is taken from http://www.recycledevon.org
Good morning, Ms. Sunshine! *I remember the way Flo, my student, greeted me. She called me Ms. Sunshine coz one day on Friday, I worn a sunflower dress. Well, anyway, that is not the point :)

Breakfast is an activity I usually missed. It is not a practical to do, especially in the morning. I don't like eating rice for breakfast. It is too heavy for my stomach and my teeth (*believe me, I am not that old. I am just being lazy to chew that long. Hehehe

Instead of eating rice for breakfast, I eat sandwhiches. At first, I tried to make it with btwo slices of rown bread, a fried egg, a slice of cheese, and some slices of tomato. (*so full, right? Then, when I chew, I was thinking 'Uh oh, this is the last time I ate sandwhiches with brown bread. Although, I kept full till 4 hours ahead because of eating brown bread, but still, I dont like it. People say brown bread will make you full longer than white bread.

picture is taken from https://secure.static.tumblr.com
After I change brown bread with white bread, I got tired with eating fried egg all the time. And one day, I boiled an egg for my sandwhiches. It tastes better and healthier. It reminds me of my breakfast days in Russia. ;) (*I miss you, Babushka.

Several weeks later, I got bored with breakfast. Before I go to work, I just drink a glass of water and a cup of coffee. Or, I just dropped by in a food stall to buy gendar pecel (mashed rice and boiled salad with peanut souce). (*what? mashed rice?? Yep, you heard me. mashed rice.

And this morning, playing harvest moon for 30 minutes made me hungry. I decided to make sandwhiches. I saved the game and walked to the fridge. Hemm, I dont have any meat. I saw tomatoes, cheese and mayonaise. What about eggs? Hemm, no egg for today. Lets make sandwhices with limited ingridients.

I put mayonaise on the two sides of two slices of white bread. I used pan to brown the bread. (*I dont have a toaster :p. After that, I cut a tomato, washed it, and sliced it. I put some sliced tomato on the bread. I grated cheese and put it on the top of tomato. The final touched, I put another bread after I put the leftover sliced tomato.

I was thinking, a cup of coffee might be good for this. I boiled some water then made a cup of coffee.

The taste? Hemm, alhamdulillah, it is delicious! beyond my expectation! :) and the coffee made it perfectly! So, I called this dish as tomato sandwhiches. I guess, I have another varian for my breakfast :)

Crafting, the way i love them by making something than buying stuff

Crafting. I am not a type of person who likes doing things in detail. That is way I dont really like sewing.

Crafting. Every time I heard this word, it reminds me of my first pandan-cake. I made it when I was in grade 9. I made it for my besty, Agata. I had limited monthly pocket money at that time. I couldnt afford to buy something good for her.

Her response was beyond everything. She said what a sweet of me and it fluttered her heart.

Since then, I realise that instead buying thing she would not like, it is better to make something special for her.

Many crafts I have made so far. At first, the main reason was because of money. But now, it is more than that. It is a way of being sincere.

And, one day, I got a shocked statement from my special friend. Since his birthday was coming soon, and I would not be there when he celebrated it, I made him a birthday card.

I gave him the card in the last night we met. I asked him, when his birthday is. I was so surprised that his birthday is different with the one he wrote in skype acc. Oh, no. I felt so ashame.

There was a quite line after that. I didnt know what to say. Suddenly, he asked whether I made it myself. I said yes. Then he said, he liked it very much. It felt like the heart and the feeling was all over on the card.

I was so speechless. I didnt know what to say. His words flutter me. What he said is totally right. There is a sincere feeling on the card. It can be a happy feeling, love, hate, frustrated feeling.

His real birthday is coming soon. I just dont know what to say and what to do. At first, I want to send another birthday card. But isnt it too much? Hempf....

Well, I hope, I will have another opportunity to meet him, again. I hope so. I really hope so.

For you, who like making something for the love ones, keep doing it. You will never know the joy you will get and the respond from them.

When you do crafting, your feeling is in what you make.

Selamat menonton :)

How do you feel ...

"I am sorry, Miss. I haven't finished my homework yet. I am sorry, Miss. I am slow. I can not write fast. I am sorry, Miss. Something is wrong with my brain. My brain can not work, Miss"

How do you feel when your student told you that? I was kind of surprise and sad. Oh my God, He even understands himself. I tried so hard not to cry. Even though, at the end, I had teary eyes.

S is a different student. He is a special kid. I don't know the term in medical, but something is different with him. He understands instruction but he doesn't know how to write about what he said.

As his teacher, he makes me proud. He admitted that he is different and he tried his best to finish all his work.

Being a teacher is like two faces of coins. For the first side, a teacher has to deliver the lesson well. So that, the students can achieve the learning objectives. In the other hand, a teacher is a educator too. Students' behavior and discipline are a teacher concern.

Being a teacher is not easy. It has challenges. When I was a kid, I don't have any idea what a teacher is. I was just happy seeing my teacher as an idol since she can rule the world.

Am I regret for being a teacher? No, I am not. I am proud of being a teacher. One of my dreams came true. And also, I gain a lot of knowledge from identifying students characters.

Lunch Menu: Chicken Strips

Recently, I like to make my own lunch. By making my own lunch, I get more benefits. For instance, I know the exact what I actually eat. I have a concern in this since I have allergic to monosodium glutamate (MSG).

I read some article about what the best food to eat at lunch. Meat is the best among all (*if you are vegetarian, I am sorry.

For lunch, usually I make chicken strips. If you work in the morning, from 7am to 4 pm, I suggest you to do like I do. I prepare the meat and the sauce at night. So that in the morning, I just need to fry, heat up the sauce and boil the veggies.

Here is the recipe.

Chicken strip a la Elmy

Ingredients:
chicken strips:
  • chicken fillet
  • flour
  • egg
  • bread crumb
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • lemon
Sauce:
  • garlic
  • onion
  • oyster sauce
  • chili sauce
  • water
Veggies:
  • carrots
  • green bean
  • long bean
The steps:
Chicken strips:
  1. cut the meat like you want to make a steak, the thickness is around 0.5 to 1 cm.
  2. spread some pepper, salt and lemon juice for meat for both sides. leave it for a while, 15 min,
  3. put some flour on the plate and so does the bread crumb.
  4. mix one egg and put it on a plate.
  5. put the meat in flour plate first, then to the egg, then the bread crumb. make sure all the meat are covered by bread crumb.
  6. prepare the oil in a pan. with the meat thickness, you do not need to pour a lot of oil in the pan. Pour some just to make sure it is enough to fry the whole meat.
  7. fry until it's cooked and brown.
Sauce:
  1. mince garlic and onion
  2. put some oil in the pan then when the oil is hot, put the garlic and onion.
  3. lower down the fire, put the oyster sauce and chili sauce.
  4. mix all together, and put some water.
  5. add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  6. cooked till the sauce boiled then turn the fire off.
Veggies:
  1. boil some water.
  2. cut the veggies like potatoes wadges,
  3. cook the veggies and put some salt.
  4. when it is cooked, put it in the cold water for while.
  5. then take out the veggies.

Postcrossing: Send A Postcard and Receive A Postcard Back From A Random Person in The World

Postcrossing is an activity which you can send postcards to strangers all over the world. I was introduced to this community by my host family. She likes sending postcards. And she told me about postcrossing information and stuff.

To tell you the truth, I was so excited. Sending the postcards to people you barely knew is a new thing for me. My first postcard is sent to Michael, in German. I got a positive response from him and he even encourages me to keep postcrossing.

It has been 49 days since I became a member. I found a bit hard to send the postcard on time. I work from Monday to Friday, from 7 to 16 while the post office works till 15.  But I am still blessed that the post office is opened on Saturday though it is just a half day.

I am trying to send the postcard as much as possible and I tried to send the original pictures. I mean, the picture of the postcard I send is the landscape of my city which I take it by myself.

So, if you are interested in sending postcards and share the experience, I think postcrossing is the best choice.

Happy Postcrossing!

MUST TRY : Opor Bebek Mbah Yem

Food is a good bussiness. A lot of people sell many kinds of food from snacks to deserts with good range of price. From street food to a 5 stars restaurant, people invest bunch of money in it.

Today, I'd like to give recommendation about must try food in Salatiga, Central Java, opor bebek.

Opor bebek doesnt sound familiar among food lovers. And not many food stalls and restaurant sell it. It is because the way to treat the duck (bebek) is tricky.

Opor bebek is alike with opor ayam, a yellow duck soup with coconut milk. In this main dish, the chicken (ayam) is replaced by the duck (bebek).

Opor bebek you must try in Salatiga is Opor Bebek Mbah Yem. It is located in Diponegoro Street No. 138, Salatiga, next to Religion Ministry Office Salatiga (Kantor Agama Salatiga).

Besides Opor Bebek, this place also offers traditional fried chicken and pecel (javanese salad with peanut souce).

Dont worry about the price, it is affordable :)

This place also has a mushola and toilet.

If you come and visit or just pass Salatiga, make a time to taste Opor Bebek Mbah Yem.

Answer (Reply) 1994

This Korean Drama has been aired last year. But I just had time to watch it. At first, when I saw the advertisement, I didnt really interested. I never seen the casts before.

The reason why I watched Answer 1994 is because I watch You are all surrounded. I found out that Go Ara played in answer 1994 too.

There are 21 episodes and two special episodes. Alike answer me 1997, we need to guess the husband of the woman main character. I was so curious to death. Hahahaha.

Answer 1994 is about the friendship among seven people who live under the same roof. Many things happened from fight, care, love, sadness, happiness, how to respect each other, even triangle love.

Ah, I have this link for you if you want to download the series. I hope you enjoy watching the drama.

Candi Borobudur 2014

Last Monday, I visited Candi Borobudur, the biggest Buddhist temple in the world. I went there with Arisa, a couchsurfer from Japan.

To go to Borobudur temple from my house, Semarang, it takes 3 hours. Since my dad didn't want to drive that long, he asked our cousins to join us.

It was a long journey. Arisa even slept in the car.

There wasnt a big crowd there. I bet since it is Ramadhan month and it wasnt a weekend too.

When we got off from the car, there were many seller offered their things such as hats, souvenirs, glasses, even umbrella.

*just for a note: if you want to buy souvenir, I suggest you to buy in Prambanan temple. The price is cheaper than in Borobudur temple.

There are two entrances for the tourist, foreigners and local people. The ticket for local people is around 30.000 rupiahs while for foreigner is 240.000 rupiahs. I felt bad for Arisa since she had to pay more.

Borobudur has changed a lot since my last visit. The way to go to the east entrance of the temple was long and hot. But now, it is a bit shady and short.

Other thing that has changed is the sarong, a cloth to cover our hips. It is a new tradition. For people who are more than 18 y/o, they have to wear sarong. Its color is blue with the print of Borobudur on it.

My First Couch, Arisa :)

Meet Arisa, a Japanese woman who has travelled since March. She is my first couch. She spent two nights in my parents' house. I took her to see the night view of Semarang in Gombel, the Greatest Masjid in South East Asia, Lawang Sewu and Tugu Muda.

It was raining when we went out. I was a bit worried I couldn't take her to the places I promised. When we were arrived in Gombel to see the night view, it was raining very hard. The view was covered by fogs. We needed to wait for an hour so that the fog disappear and the rain stopped. While we were waiting for the rain, we met an acquaintance. He worked in a Japanese company. Hearing we were talking in English he was curious and introduced himself. It was a great night.

After that we took several pictures with the Semarang night view as the background. Knowing the rain was just drizzling, I rode my bike fastly to go the next destination, The Greatest Masjid in South East Asia.

When we almost there, the heavy rain started. I speed up my motorbike. We arrived safely in front of the
Masjid. I wanted to parked my motorbike, the officer said I can't. I have passed the time. I tried to persuade them by saying I have a friend from Japan. She just wanted to take some pictures. I was so glad that he let me to park my bike near the mountain.

Well, taking foreigner with you can give you a super privilege :)

We continued our journey to Lawang Sewu. She was so surprised since Lawang Sewu looked more beautiful at night. She was so impressed with the view. Me, as a host, I am happy I could take her there.

Jika kolom agama (tak) tertulis di personal ID ...

Religion has been become a huge issues lately. It is because of the up coming president election next month.

For the past 20 years, religion has become the main caused of civil war in Indonesia. It makes me sad actually. Indonesia actually acknowledge the different in believing. It is stated at the symbol of the nation, Garuda. It says, BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA. In English, it means, harmony in diversity.

We acknowledge that we are different, we have our own believe. But why some people force others to be like their kind.

Talking about the religion column in personal ID. I fully agree that religion column is deleted. WHY? here, let me tell you the reasons.

Being Muslim in Russia

According to wikipedia, Islam is the second largest after Christian Orthodox. It is around 25 million muslim. But compare to Indonesia, the number is nothing. In Indonesia, 85% of the population are muslim.

There are lots of things between being muslim in Indonesia and in Russia.
1. Masjid
In Indonesia, I can find masjid easily to pray. In my neighbourhood, there are 5 masjid. I can go to any masjid I want. But in Russia, especially, Izhevsk, there are three masjids. They are Izhevskaya Sobornaya Masjid, Masjid Imam Nury, and

я тебя не отдам, (I will never give you)

I'll give you or in english is I will never give you. I like this song very much. I heard this song for the first time in Elena's car. I had tried to find the song but i failed. I asked my Russian friends about this song. But they didn't have any idea about it.
Then, my best friend, Rinat, he found the song in the last two days before I went back home. I was so happy and touched. I ever asked him about this song too but he

Maleficent, close to the reality

I just watched Maleficent in XXI, Paragon Semarang. Mbak Pita treated us. Yep, us. She treated Ameera (her daughter), Mbak Win (her sister), Mbak Mita (her sister in law), and me.

Maleficent is a new version of Sleeping Beauty. It is starred by Angelina Jolie. Apart that I am not a fan of her, this movie is AWESOME. I like this version very much compare to other version. It closes to the reality. This movie tells the viewers that there must be a reason why a person does bad things. And the most important, a bad person does not always bad all the time. She has a heart too.

No wonder that this movie stays at the first number in movie chart for three weeks. I recommend this movie to everyone including children to watch it. To let them know that people are not angel. People can do good things and bad things. Last but not least, it is unwise to judge someone based on the appearance or even what she did to us.  There must be a reason behind everything.

If you haven't watched, just watch it asap. This movie is worth seeing. Here I post the trailer of Maleficent. Enjoy :D

сарапул, A Place of Money

Sarapul is located in Udmurt Republic. It is 66 km from Izhevsk. It takes only one hour to go there from izhevsk. Sarapul is a city near Kama River. Just like Izhevsk, Sarapul is an industrial city too. There are more than 100 000 people live in this city.

Here are some places I visited when I was in Sarapul.

1. Kama River
This city is not that big. You can see the big river from across the street. This river is big and the stream is kind of hard. Along the river, there are some benches you can sit on, and some stairs to the river. You can feed doves there and if you are lucky you can meet seagull.

2. The Green Alley
If you walk along the river but against the stream, you can find a beautiful alley. Maybe for some people there is nothing special with the alley. But for me, this alley is beautiful and worth seeing *in summer especially. And after the alley, there is an old bridge, where

I Will Wait For You

Everything was fine the way it was normal and ordinary. Then there was you, so randomly too, and now you're staring at me.

No one can choose who they fall for, or when they fall, or how they fall, or why.
I, well I fell for you and I must wait. It's only a matter of time.

I will wait for you my darling and I will wait for you

Oooh Oooh

Everything was cool the way it was. Just me, my thoughts, and I. Then there was you, so randomly too, the way that you walked by.

No one can choose who they fall for, or when they fall, or how they fall, or why.
I, well I fell for you and I must wait. It's only a matter of time.

I will wait for you my darling and I will wait for you.

No, No I don't fall in love. No, I can't fall in love.

It's much too complicated, haven't tried it before.

I don't need it anymore.
So I thought, so I thought, so I thought.

I will wait for you my darling and I will wait for you.

Aaah Aaah

That is the lyric of I will wait for you by Us The Duo. I like this song very much because of the rhythm, melody and the lyrics. It is soooo mee *read I'm fallin' in love* LOL

I prefer to write the lyric into a writing letter model. I hope you like this song as well.

Votkinsk is the city where the famous composer, Tchaikovsky, born. This city is not big. The number of people who live in this city is not more than 100 000.

There are some places to visit when you are in Votkinsk.
1. Tchaikovsky Music School

This music school is the most famous music school in Udmurt Republic. If you want to be a musician, this school is the right place.

There is a monument of Tchaikovsky in front of the school. If you are lucky, you can listen to some students playing their instruments.

2. Tchaikovsky Monument
